ABOUT OUR DOGS
Are Zara, Odin, or any of your other dogs for sale?
No. Silly Shepherds is not a dog dealer or a breeding business offering dogs for sale. Our dogs are part of our family. We share their stories, photos, and experiences—not the dogs themselves.
Are you breeding Zara?
We are not currently selling puppies or making commitments about future litters. If we ever have concrete news to share, we’ll announce it on our website and official channels.
Can I get personal advice about my German Shepherd?
We share practical knowledge based on nearly thirty years of living with German Shepherds. However, we are not veterinarians and do not provide medical diagnoses.
For medical concerns, serious behavior problems, or situations involving safety, please contact a veterinarian or a suitably qualified behavior professional.
Which dogs are part of Silly Shepherds?
Over the years, Schadow, Troy, Ayla, Zara, and Odin have each become part of our story. You’ll find their profiles, photos, and stories on the website.
ABOUT THE BOOK
What is The Language of the Shepherd?
The Language of the Shepherd is a practical guide to life with a German Shepherd. It covers clear communication, boundaries, calmness, behavior, and ten core training exercises.
Is the book only for dogs with behavior problems?
No. It’s for anyone who wants to understand their German Shepherd better, whether they have a puppy, an adolescent dog, or an adult.
Which formats are available?
The English edition is available on Amazon as a paperback and a Kindle eBook.
Other editions and formats may be available through Silly Shepherds or other sellers. Check the relevant book page for the available options.
An EPUB purchased directly from us is a separate product from a Kindle edition purchased on Amazon.
How much does the book cost?

Can I order the book outside the Netherlands?

ABOUT EPUB FILES AND DIGITAL DOWNLOADS
What is an EPUB?
An EPUB is a digital book file that can be read on many e-readers, tablets, phones, and computers using compatible reading software.
It has a flexible layout: text adjusts to your screen and reading settings rather than staying on fixed pages like a printed book.
How do I receive my EPUB?
For an EPUB purchased directly from us, the download is made available after successful payment according to the instructions in your order confirmation.
If you purchased a Kindle edition on Amazon, follow Amazon’s instructions to access it through your Kindle device or app.
Can I return an EPUB?
Different rules apply to digital content.
Where a statutory cooling-off period applies, your cancellation right may end when supply begins if you have actively agreed to immediate delivery, acknowledged that you will lose that right, and received the required confirmation.
Where no statutory cooling-off right applies, immediately supplied downloads are not covered by a change-of-mind return policy unless we expressly offer one.
Your applicable rights remain in place if the file is incorrect, defective, or not supplied as agreed. For direct purchases, contact us for help. For Amazon purchases, use Amazon’s support and refund procedures.
Can I send my EPUB to someone else?
Your purchase is for personal use. You may not redistribute, resell, or upload the file for others without permission, except where applicable law permits it.

What do you sell in the shop?
Our shop focuses on books and digital publications. We may also offer carefully chosen products that fit life with a German Shepherd.
We want everything we offer to have a reason to be here.
Availability may differ between our direct shop and external sellers. Our English pages may link to Amazon rather than offer direct checkout.
Can I return a product?
For standard physical products purchased directly from us, we provide a 14-day cooling-off period, subject to the exceptions in our terms.
Personalized products and immediately supplied digital content may be excluded from change-of-mind returns. Any additional mandatory consumer rights remain in place.

For purchases from Amazon or another seller, follow that seller’s return procedure. Please do not send those returns to Silly Shepherds.
Which payment methods do you accept?
For direct purchases, checkout shows the payment methods available for your country and order. Online payments are processed through Mollie, with manual bank transfer available where offered.
For purchases through Amazon or another seller, use the payment options shown at their checkout.
Are taxes included in the price?
Applicable taxes are included or separately shown as required by law. Check the final checkout total and currency before placing your order.
International shipments may also attract import duties, local taxes, or carrier handling fees that are not collected at checkout.
For Amazon or other external purchases, check that seller’s pricing and tax information.
Can you help with an Amazon order?
For payment, delivery, returns, refunds, or order-related complaints, contact Amazon or the seller listed in your order.
We cannot access another seller’s order or payment records or process its refunds.
Questions about the content of our books are always welcome, wherever you bought your copy.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS
How long does delivery take?
Delivery depends on the product, stock availability, destination, and seller.
Check the product page, checkout, and order confirmation for the estimate that applies to your purchase. An estimated date does not override your applicable statutory delivery rights.
Will I receive tracking information?
For direct orders shipped with tracking, we’ll send the available tracking details once the shipment has been registered with the carrier.
A tracking link may only become active after the carrier’s first scan.
For Amazon or other external purchases, check your order in that seller’s account or confirmation email.
Who pays for return shipping?
For a direct change-of-mind return, you pay the return shipping costs if we disclosed this before purchase, unless we agree otherwise or applicable law requires us to pay.
If we supplied an incorrect, damaged, or defective product, we cover the necessary costs where required by law.
For purchases from another seller, follow that seller’s return process and applicable consumer protections.
