WARRANTY, CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS — SILLY SHEPHERDS

Purchased directly from Silly Shepherds? Sections 1–9 explain our cancellation, return, and warranty procedures.

1. Right to Cancel Standard Physical Product Orders

For standard physical products purchased directly through SillyShepherds.com, consumers generally have a 14-day cooling-off period, starting the day after delivery.

Within this period, you can notify us that you wish to cancel your purchase without giving a reason. You then have another 14 days to return the product.

Examples of standard physical products include:

Paperback books
Standard merchandise
Non-personalized accessories

2. Returns

After notifying us of your cancellation, return the product within 14 days.

You are responsible for return shipping costs, provided we informed you of this before purchase, unless we state otherwise.

You may inspect a product as you would in a store. If you use it beyond what is necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may deduct any resulting loss in value from your refund.

If you cancel your entire order, we refund:

The purchase price
The original standard delivery charge

Additional charges for a more expensive delivery option you selected are not refundable.

We refund you within 14 days of your cancellation notice. We may withhold the refund until we receive the product or proof that you returned it, whichever comes first.

Refunds use your original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method.

3. Personalized and Custom-Made Products

Products made to your specifications or clearly personalized are generally excluded from the right to cancel.

Examples include:

Products featuring your name
Products featuring your photo
Products featuring your text or design
Other products made specifically to your specifications

This does not affect your rights if something is wrong with the product.

Your statutory rights remain in place if the product:

Was incorrectly produced
Arrived damaged
Does not match what was agreed
Does not meet the quality you can reasonably expect

4. EPUBs and Digital Products

Separate cancellation rules apply to EPUBs and other digital content.

If you expressly consent at checkout to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once delivery begins, you cannot subsequently cancel simply because you changed your mind. We confirm this agreement by email.

Your statutory rights remain in place if you receive the wrong file, the download does not work properly, or the digital product does not meet the agreement.

Digital content must meet the specifications and reasonable expectations agreed upon at purchase.

5. Statutory Warranty

Products purchased directly from Silly Shepherds are covered by applicable statutory consumer guarantees.

You are entitled to a product that matches the agreement and performs as reasonably expected under normal use.

Under Dutch law, there is no fixed two-year statutory warranty period. A product’s expected lifespan depends on its type, quality, price, and normal use.

Depending on the circumstances, a faulty product may entitle you to:

Repair
Replacement
A price reduction
A refund

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.

6. Damage Not Covered by Warranty

You are generally not entitled to free repair or replacement when the problem is demonstrably caused by:

Incorrect or improper use
Damage you caused
Normal wear and tear
Failure to follow clear care or washing instructions

These conditions do not exclude your statutory consumer rights.

7. Damaged, Incorrect, or Faulty Products

If a purchase made directly from us arrives damaged, is incorrect, or is faulty, please contact:

Photos of the product and, where relevant, its packaging

This helps us assess the problem and find an appropriate solution.

8. Requesting a Return or Cancellation

For purchases made directly from us, you can notify us using our website’s online cancellation function or by emailing:

9. Return Address

After notifying us, send products purchased directly from Silly Shepherds to:

Keep your proof of postage until your return has been fully processed.

This address is not for purchases made through Amazon or other external sellers.

10. Purchases Through Amazon or Other Sellers

If you purchased a paperback, Kindle e-book, or another product through Amazon or an external seller, contact the seller where you placed your order for returns, warranty claims, replacements, or refunds.

Always check which business is listed as the seller on your order.

We do not have access to external sellers’ order or payment details and cannot process their returns or refunds.

For Amazon purchases, check Your Orders in your Amazon account. For Kindle purchases, check Digital Orders or contact Amazon Customer Service.

Follow the seller’s instructions and use the return address they provide.

Regardless of where you purchased the book, you may contact us with questions about its content or to report a text or image issue.

11. VAT and Taxes

Consumer prices for purchases made directly through SillyShepherds.com include applicable VAT. Any shipping charges or other applicable charges are shown before you place your order.

For purchases through Amazon or another seller, refer to the prices, taxes, and charges shown by that seller at checkout.

12. Model Cancellation Form

You may use this form to cancel an eligible purchase made directly from Silly Shepherds. Using this form is optional.
